Getting the Right Person in the Right Job
The Problem:
Staffing agencies have a general reputation for providing staff who are under-skilled, unprofessional, and unreliable. Temps may leave in the middle of the day and fail to return, they may deal with your clients in an unprofessional way, they may lack the skills and motivation required for the job, etc.
Our Solutions:
- Quality over Speed. We strive for quality; while we will work to find the right match within a few days, we don’t sacrifice our in-depth process for speed. We’ll never send you someone who doesn’t have the qualifications that you request just so we can start getting paid. We have a state of the art recruiting process designed to get the best candidates for your position.
- Practical Interviews. Our candidates experience a practical interview in which they are seated at a desk with a computer, with tasks to complete that match the job they are seeking, complete with a phone to answer and interruptions to manage. They must show excellent performance in this real world environment in order to be considered for a position with us.
- Specialization. We have chosen to work only with qualified and experienced office professionals. This allows us to expand our expertise in one area, instead of losing focus with too many different fields. It also allows us to offer the broadest range of services possible within that one area, so that we can offer you a service that really meets your administrative needs. With our system, YOU choose the parameters that we use for our job search, and we will never send you anyone who does not meet those standards.
- Truth in Advertising. One of the biggest complaints of those who work with staffing agencies is that they are lured to the agency with the promise of a job that doesn’t exist, only to be the victim of “bait and switch”. We never advertise jobs that we don’t have and we always let candidates know when a job in which they were interested is filled. We give them the option of being contacted about other jobs and we allow them to set the parameters of what kind of job they would like to have (type of job, area of town, rate of pay, etc).
Disgruntled and Unhappy Temps
The Problem:
Temp employees are often disgruntled, unhappy, and de-motivated because they get lower pay, no benefits, and poor treatment. This leads to poor work performance, not to mention spending time on the clock scanning the internet for a better job and walking out on you the MINUTE they find one.
Our Solutions:
- Treating our Employees Well. We have cutting edge benefits for our employees, from their first day. They are paid a wage that is in line with the current Austin market. We take the time to listen to our employees when they voice concerns, and we make a point of knowing them on an individual basis.
- Real Benefits from Day One. We start by paying 100% of the cost for health, vision, dental, chiropractic, and prescription benefits while an employee is working with us. We also provide a 401(k), including a financial advisor who meets individually with each employee – at no cost to them - to help them get set up, and help them roll the plan over if they move on or are hired permanently by a client. We provide a number of other benefit options including insurance, real estate benefits and the list goes on.
Pricing Confusion
The Problem:
Staffing agencies can make payment a mystery. They don’t tell you where your money is going. So, if they are paying a temp $12.00 an hour and you are paying $24.00 an hour – what is that 100% mark-up paying for?
Our Solution:
At Cloud Nine our solution is simple. We tell you exactly what your money is paying for – how much pays for salary, how much pays for benefits, and how much pays for us. There are no mysteries; we are completely transparent with our pricing and happy to discuss how we arrived at our numbers.
Financial Stability and Exorbitant Price Mark-ups
The Problem:
Staffing agencies generally allow their clients to take 30-60 days to pay their invoices, but they pay their temps biweekly. That means that your money winds up paying for someone else’s staff. If another client pays late, there may not be enough money to pay your employees – even though you’ve already paid. To solve this problem, agencies borrow money (lines of credit, factoring receivables, etc.) which creates a huge amount of debt, compounded by interest. To make sure that they are covered, their rates are padded to pay the interest on the debt as well as to try to cover any client who doesn’t pay on time.
Our Solution:
Cloud Nine Staffing offers each client their choice of payments – pay in advance, net 10 or net 30. You get to decide.
Pay in advance allows you to save at least $0.75/hour for each staff member you have with us (that’s over $1,500 per year per employee). Your money is placed in a holding account and when your payroll comes, then and only then is it touched. If for some reason your payroll is less than the estimate, you may either carry the estimate forward toward the next pay period, or we will promptly refund the difference.
Invoiced payment works differently. Based on your choice, the invoice will be due in our office ten or thirty days from the date of receipt. A longer billing cycle means a slightly higher hourly rate. We email invoices to save you from paying for paper and stamps and envelopes, and to provide real-time invoicing and faster turn-around.
